•Phelps Dodge and Cyprus Amax A$225 million sale of Australian interests (including Oakbridge and Springvale Projects)

•Ruhrkohle International Mining group acquisition of all of British Coal Corporation's Australian interests (including German Creek Project)

•TransCanada International and Petronas Nasional acquisition of a major interest in Moomba to Sydney gas pipeline from the Australian Government.
