Capital Markets

AH lawyers have built up extensive experience in the capital markets field, having handled some of the biggest IPO's and floats (including privatisations), as well as smaller new equity offerings, and all types of corporate debt raisings.

For example, AH lawyers have acted for the NSW Government on the privatisation and float of GIO Australia Holdings, for News Corporation and PMP in the floatation of PMP Communications, for the underwriters of the Commonwealth Bank IPO and subsequent offerings, for Australian Growth Properties on its IPO, and for Ten Network Holdings in originating its unique "see through share" structure and its resulting float and listing on the ASX (which the Asia Pacific Legal 500 lawyers guide described as "as complex a transaction as any in Australia").

Whether acting for the issuing company, vendors or underwriters, AH seeks to avoid unnecessary formalism and to encourage cost efficiency in the contents and readability of offering documents, in the due diligence process, and in the management and co-ordination of the overall process.
